Former WC County Board aide sentenced

Gary Kriss, formerly an aide to the Westchester County Board chairman, was sentenced today for using taxpayer money for personal reasons.

Kriss was fined $1,000 and was ordered to pay restitution of $494 plus an additional $200 in court fees.

Kriss was charged with two counts of theft of services for using a county board graphics specialist to work on personal projects during work hours. At the time, Kriss was the highest ranking official on the county board staff.

Kriss did not offer any comment following the sentencing, except that he plans on enjoying a nice day.
