Police arrive by busload for fallen detective's funeral
Hundreds of police officers waited outside of a filled-to-capacity Saint Patrick's Church in Yorktown yesterday morning as a fellow member of the force was laid to rest.
White Plains Police Detective Michael Perry died of a heart attack after chasing down and arresting a career criminal over the weekend.
Hundreds of fellow officers from throughout Westchester arrived by the busloads for Perry's funeral services.
White Plains Police Commissioner David Chong calls Perry a great cop and says the law enforcement community is broken today over his loss.
Perry leaves behind a wife and twin 6-year-old sons.
