Jury selection under way in Sleepy Hollow brutality case

Jury selection has begun in the trial against a Sleepy Hollow police detective accused of attacking two suspects who were already handcuffed or otherwise restrained.

Detective Jose Quinoy is facing brutality charges after he allegedly used a stun gun on one handcuffed man. Quinoy is also facing witness tampering charges.

The defense tried to get the charges thrown-out after an FBI agent allegedly destroyed a disc with evidence on it, but a judge refused to dismiss the case.

Opening statements are set for next week.
