Gun show returns to White Plains after ban

Gun dealers from around the country are heading to the Westchester County Center in White Plains for the first gun show in the county in more than a decade.

Back in the 1990s, then-County Executive Andy Spano (D-Westchester) banned gun shows from all county facilities. However, the current county executive, Rob Astorino (R-Westchester), lifted the ban recently.

Gun maker Kenny Jarrett traveled from South Carolina to take part in the show, which will run through the weekend and feature more than 300 gun makers and dealers.

Organizers of the event say security at the gun show will be tight.
