Goshen man killed in motorcycle crash

A Goshen man was killed Tuesday morning after his motorcycle crashed into a Jeep and struck a guard rail on the New York State Thruway, authorities say.

State police say the force of the impact sent 50-year-old Brendan Brown?s motorcycle careening a quarter mile down the southbound side of the highway.

At first, police thought the driver of the Jeep Brown struck took off, but they say 43-year-old Michael Stra, of Wingdale, did stop further down on the Thruway. He was taken in for questioning, but wasn?t charged in the crash.

Witnesses told police that prior to the accident, Brown was driving aggressively and made several abrupt lane changes in front of the Jeep.
