Police make arrest in fatal Yonkers shooting

Police have arrested a suspect in a Yonkers apartment building shooting that left a 31-year-old man dead Friday.

The suspect, 24-year-old Fritzgerald LaLanne, of Yonkers, is facing a second-degree murder charge in the death of Jermaine McCollum, who was gunned down in the lobby of 106 Locust Hill Ave.

Police say they located LaLanne after questioning witnesses and recovering a handgun on the scene.

No word yet on the motive behind McCollum's murder.
