The Long Island Sound search for a missing Mount Vernon firefighter has been put on hold days after he went missing.

Firefighters at the Mount Vernon Fire Department say they're holding out hope that 49-year-old James Drago will be found.

Police say they received a call on Saturday shortly after 1 p.m. about a man who dove into the Long Island Sound near the Larchmont Shore Club and never came up.
