HV Hospital Center patients move into new wing

Patients at Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor were moved into a brand new wing at the hospital yesterday.

The $100 million wing officially opened last week. It is equipped with bedside electronic medical records and large, private recovery rooms. Hospital officials say it also provides nurses better access to equipment and supplies.

?This places us at the cutting edge of virtually all hospitals in the metropolitan area,? Hudson Valley Hospital Center?s John Federspiel says of the wing.

The point of the new wing, hospital officials say, is to bring patients and caregivers closer together.
