Man hospitalized after canoe flips in the Mianus River

Police say three men were on a canoe in Mianus River on Monday evening when it flipped, throwing the men into the murky water.

Two of the men were able to swim to shore, but a 30-year-old man needed to be rescued.

The man was pulled out alive and rushed to the Northern Westchester Hospital.

There is no word yet on the condition of the man and police are uncertain how long the victim was under water.
