Some Westchester residents, businesses still without electricity

Many Yonkers residents are dealing with another night without power after the region experienced the hottest day on record in nearly nine years.

One resident, Wendy Smallen, has no electricity at home, where the indoor temperature has reached 87 degrees. She said she plans on cooling off in her above-ground pool, but that most of her refrigerated food needs to be thrown out.

Workers were sent home from Gianna's Italian Restaurant, but only temporarily until the power was restored.

Con Edison says they are working on fixing the outages.
