Layoffs looming at Westchester Medical Center

More than 100 works are expected to be fired at the Westchester Medical Center in order to balance the 2010 budget.

Just last year, 400 jobs were cut.

In order to balance the budget, more than $12.5 million in support from the hospital has to be withdrawn. In response, the hospital will have to give pink slips to social workers and nurses aides.
