Parents, former students support HV principal accused of abuse
The Orange County principal accused of sexually abusing a male student was in court last night, along with a slew of supporters who feel that he has been falsely accused of the crime.
Michael Rossi is on administrative leave from his position as principal at Washingtonville High School after his arrest last week.
Rossi is accused of sending inappropriate picture messages with a 16-year-old male student, and then abusing him in a parked car in Cornwall earlier this month.
The judge at Rossi's brief appearance last night extended an order of protection for Rossi and the student, and set the next court date.
Many former students of Rossi's stood and applauded as he was led out of court last night, and say they firmly believe he has been falsely accused.
Rossi was previously an educator at the Hastings High School in Westchester.
