Yonkers pancake lovers rejoice as new IHOP unveiled

It was a pancake and breakfast lovers dream in Yonkers yesterday as the city's first IHOP opened its doors to some eagerly awaiting batter fanatics.

The new Central Park Avenue eatery, located near Uno's Pizzeria, was a brain-child of a local father-daughter team who thought the franchise would help them get a taste of success despite the economic crisis.

The owners say that the majority of their 80 new employees also live in Yonkers, and even though this restaurant is still brand new, the family already plans to open a second IHOP in the city.
