Ball, Kaplowitz hope for victory in state Senate race

In the race for the 40th state Senate District, Republican Assemblyman Greg Ball and Democratic Westchester County Legislator Mike Kaplowitz are both hoping to fill the seat being vacated by state Sen. Vincent Libell (R-Patterson).

The campaign has been marked by heated words and accusations being thrown at each other.

Ball is hoping that his renegade attitude will register with voters looking for a change in Albany.

Kaplowitz is drawing on his strong grassroots efforts to send him to Albany.

Poll workers in the 40th District say that turnout has been heavy, a sign both candidates hope means good news for them.
