Protestors demand WC cop be reinstated after false arrest charges

An Eastchester Town Board meeting descended into chaos Wednesday night after friends and supporters of a local police officer demanded that he be reinstated after they claim he was falsely accused of making unlawful arrests.

Eastchester Police Officer Ramon Rosado was suspended without pay back in July for the arrest.

Rosado, who did not attend the meeting, believes that Eastchester Police Chief Timothy Bonci has been after him ever since he filed a $20 million discrimination lawsuit against the town and the department, claiming he suffered harassment because of his Latino heritage.

Bonci called the allegations baseless. Rosado remains suspended without pay.
