Tribute paid to Hawaii Five-O legend at Nyack funeral

Longtime fans of the TV series "Hawaii Five-O" joined friends, family, and some Hollywood celebrities in Nyack this weekend to say goodbye to one of the legendary members of the 1970's cop drama.

James MacArthur, 72, was best known for his role as Detective Danny "Danno" Williams, a role that touched fans both young and old.

"I'm just an old, longtime fan from when I was 11, and I just wanted to say my final goodbyes," said Five-O devotee Beth Summerhayes. "It was a very beautiful service and I really got a picture of the man."

Also in attendance was musician and Hollywood starlet Taylor Swift, whose father was longtime friends with the MacArthur family.

MacArthur was the adopted son of playwright Charles MacArthur and actress Helen Hayes. He passed away of natural causes in Florida on October 28 and leaves behind his wife, Helen Beth Duntz, a former professional golfer, four children and seven grandchildren.
