Suspicious powder mailed to Elmsford gym

Police were called to the New York Sports Club on Executive Boulevard in Elmsford today after an employee opened a letter that investigators say contained an angry note and a white powder.

Hazmat crews evacuated the club and secured the mail truck as a precaution while they tried to determine if the facility is safe.

Police are investigating the source of the letter, but have not released what the letter said.

Four gym employees and the mail carrier were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
