Scarsdale housekeeper tied up during home invasion

Police believe a brazen home invasion involving a 41-year-old housekeeper in Scarsdale last week was not a random act.

Investigators say the suspects were able to enter the Heathcote Road home because the doors were unlocked last Thursday. Once inside, the housekeeper said they bound her hands, feet and mouth with duct tape, and then began rifling through the home. The woman told police the suspects appeared to be looking for something.

The housekeeper was able to get herself free and call for help on a cell phone.
