HV mayor calls for aid to help with Haiti cholera outbreak

The mayor of Spring Valley is joining the call to help the residents of Haiti, who are currently dealing with a deadly outbreak of cholera.

Aid workers in Haiti are having a hard time treating victims as angry locals continue to set fires and riot in the street, as some of them are blaming UN peacekeepers for the deadly outbreak. Mayor Noramie Jasmin is asking residents to help by dropping off antibiotics, gloves and sanitizers at Village Hall in an effort to prevent the epidemic from spreading any further.

Some 1,000 people in Haiti have already died as a result of the outbreak, and even more are now hospitalized. Village of Spring Valley Village Hall9 North Main StreetSpring Valley, NY
