Car with 3 passengers slams into house in Ossining

Four Ossining families got a rude awakening Sunday morning after a car came crashing into their building.

Police say that the driver, identified as 44-year-old Miguel Juela, was driving drunk with three passengers when he apparently lost control and drove into the first story of the four-family house.

The vehicle slammed into a bedroom, which fortunately wasn?t occupied at the time of the crash.

Residents of the house were forced to find a new place to stay until engineers decide if the building is safe and necessary repairs have been made.

Police say Juela has been charged with DWI and unlicenced operation of a motor vehicle. His blood alcohol content was allegedly .11. The legal limit is .08.
