Some fliers wary of new security procedures
Just in time for the busy holiday travel season, the Transportation Security Administration has implemented new screening procedures for all travelers.
Travelers are being given the choice of walking through a full-body image scanner, which some consider a virtual strip-search, or to subject themselves to new "enhanced" pat-down search techniques.
Some consider the new screening invasive and have used grassroots efforts to create National Opt-Out Day for this Wednesday, urging travelers to refuse image scanners and to choose the more time-consuming pat-down searches.
Some travelers have indicated that while they feel the new screenings are invasive, they are also necessary to try and prevent future terrorist attacks.
