Bedford police search for suspected burglar

Bedford police say they're searching for a suspected burglar who entered a first-floor apartment early this morning through an unlocked front door.

Police say the incident happened at a home on Babbit Road in Bedford Hills at around 3:30 a.m.

Neighbors say one of the little girls who lives there screamed when she woke up to find the man in her house. They say the man took off without taking anything.

Police say they tried to track the suspect down who fled on foot but couldn't locate him. They say the suspect was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, dark pants and a white T-shirt.

Police ask anyone with information to call them at 914-241-3111.
