Security lines moving quickly at Westchester County Airport
As millions take to the skies for Thanksgiving, many feared the increased number of travelers coupled with new security-screening procedures would cause massive delays nationwide. However, at Westchester County Airport, there have been no reported issues at the security checkpoint.
The Transportation Security Administration implemented new screening procedures, including "enhanced" pat-downs and body-scanning machines, that caused major uproar among travelers. It also sparked a grassroots National Opt-Out Day, asking travelers to decline using the body scanners.
Instead of hour-long lines as many feared, travelers are reporting five-minute waits, reducing delays and saving many from added stress during the holidays.
