Oppenhimer's lead cut by 95 votes in 37th District race

Sen. Suzi Oppenheimer's (D-Mamaroneck) lead over Republican challenger Bob Cohen in the 37th state Senate District race dropped by 95 votes today as workers furiously tally ballots.

Oppenheimer's lead now stands at a mere 405 votes. Attorneys for both sides are observing the count and contesting any ballot they deem improper. One ballot was even contested due to questions about a signature.

Election officials and the attorneys are taking the day off tomorrow for Thanksgiving, but will go right back to counting early Friday morning and won't stop until the count is done.
