Woodbury Common Outlets gearing up for Black Friday craze
State and local police are gearing up for the traffic nightmare that will come early Friday morning at the Woodbury Common Outlets.
State police say that they will have 17 officers assigned to direct traffic on Route 32 and many more will be on the New York State Thruway helping drivers.
The Woodbury Police Department says it will deploy officers to override traffic lights and help direct drivers.
The outlet mall has 6,000 parking spaces, but expects six times that many cars. Officials for the outlet mall say shuttle buses will be made available to handle the massive overflow.
