Bargain hunters head out early in Yonkers

Bargain hunters headed out early in Yonkers to kick off their holiday shopping Friday.

Black Friday kicks off the official holiday shopping season. At the Cross County Shopping Center, eight stores opened at midnight.

Some store managers say they have noticed a trend in buying habits so far.

"When you think most people would be out for gifts, they are grabbing great deals for themselves like jackets," said LaCrena Taylor, a Guess store manager.

Stores throughout Westchester also extended hours and offered deep discounts to lure in shoppers.
