Astorino takes budget plan on the road to gain support

County Executive Rob Astorino (R-Westchester) took his $2 billion spending plan on the road to gain residents' support for the plan.

Astorino spoke at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Bedford last night explaining the proposed budget while taking questions from critics.

The plan calls for $33 million in savings, which means heavy cuts and consolidations county-wide.

Asotirino says that the budget should allow property taxes to be cut by one percent.

Some residents say that the cuts will reduce emergency services, putting residents' lives at risk.
