Woman who jumped from Tappan Zee Bridge dies

The woman who jumped off the Tappan Zee Bridge yesterday morning has died.

Police have confirmed that Lynne Spencer, 55, of Scarsdale stopped her vehicle on the bridge, climbed on top of it and then jumped over the anti-suicide fence into the Hudson River.

Construction crews at the bottom the bridge were able to remove her from the river quickly.

Spencer was rushed to Nyack Hospital where she was expected to recover; however, she later died because of internal injuries suffered from the fall.

Work continues on anti-suicide fences for Tappan Zee Bridge
