Pot garden unearthed in Newburgh home; couple arrested

An Orange County couple was arrested this week after police unearthed a hidden grown room full of marijuana plants while executing a raid in their home.

Cops say that Anthony Carbone, 44, and his wife are both facing felony charges after investigators discovered several dozen marijuana plants, heat lamps, irrigation equipment, fertilizers and packaging equipment in their home.

Investigators say the raid was conduced after a three-week investigation. Police have reported the incident to child protective services because the couple's young children also lived in the home.
