HV football team honored for work with disabled teammate

The North Rockland High School football team who helped a disabled teenager realize his gridiron dream by being named an "honorary captain" was awarded with a plaque for their actions last night.

Courtney Burrell, 14, who has cerebral palsy, was profiled in News 12 special series "Courtney's Courage."

Jawonio, a group who provides extra help to people with special needs, and the Haverstraw Elks presented the plaque to the North Rockland High School football team at the team's end of season dinner.
