Democrats, GOP squabble over upcoming WC budget vote

Westchester Democrats and Republicans are feuding louder than ever over the proposed 2011 county budget as the budget vote is only days away.

The Republicans are angry at the Democrats for moving the budget vote date up to Dec. 10, citing prior engagements that can't be changed.

Democrats say that the move allows County Executive Rob Astorino time to decide on whether to veto the budget or not, since a budget must be approved by Dec. 27.

A third and final public meeting on the budget will be held at the Westchester County Center in White Plains tomorrow night.
