Teen to serve 7 years in prison for crash that injured WC cop

A Westchester County court judge today sentenced 16-year-old Brian Sabia to seven years in prison for crashing into and nearly killing a cop after a wild car chase.

Last April, prosecutors say Sabia stole a Ford Mustang from a Connecticut car dealership and led police on a high-speed, interstate chase that ended only after he drove intro Irvington Police Officer Luigi Osso.

Sabia pleaded guilty to a host of charges, including assault, in connection with the crash. Despite his young age, the teen was sentenced as an adult.

Officer Osso spent many months in the hospital and still faces a long recovery.
