Vigil held on 1-year anniversary of Newburgh boy's disappearance

A candlelight vigil was held this evening at the home where a Newburgh boy, who was later found dead, disappeared from exactly one year ago today.

Marc Bookal was just 4 years old when he went missing in Dec. 2009. He was left in the care of his mother's boyfriend, Cory Byrd, who police say is a key person of interest in the young boy's disappearance, but who hasn't been charged in his death.

The boy's body was found in March in a wooded area near his Newburgh home. His father, Yul Bookal, says that the case will be presented to a grand jury in January to see if there is enough evidence to arrest someone in his son's disappearance and murder.
