3 Ossining H.S. students remain in critical condition after crash

Three Ossining High School students remain in critical condition after a car crash Tuesday.

Police say a total of six students were injured in the after-school accident on Glendale Road in New Castle. They say the driver, a 17-year-old female, lost control of her car, hit a tree and then a parked car.

According to officials, senior Collin Drexler was thrown out the back windshield. His friends say that he has been in the intensive-care unit, along with senior Edison Alvarez, suffering from head and neck injuries.

Police say they are doing an accident reconstruction to figure out how the crash happened and believe speed may have been a factor.
