Store owner: Gunman walked away from WC robbery scene

Police are on the lookout for at least one man who robbed a Chase bank in Hastings-on-Hudson earlier today while wearing camouflage and carrying a large gun.

Police say the suspect entered the Chase bank on Warburton Avenue around 9 a.m. carrying either a gun or a rifle. He was able to escape through the parking lot behind the Hastings Funeral Home near the Metro-North station, and even left some of the stolen money behind.

A nearby business owner said she witnessed the suspect walking away from the bank wearing a camouflage jacket with a hood over his head.

Investigators are using search dogs in an effort to find the suspect, who may have fled on an outgoing train.
