Police search for armed bank robber

Police say they are searching for an armed bank robber who got away with $18,000 in cash this morning in Hastings-on-Hudson.

Cops say the suspect, who was wearing a ski mask, robbed the Chase bank on Warburton Avenue a little before 9 a.m. They say he was also wearing a camouflage hooded jacket.

The suspect can be seen on surveillance tape showing a bank teller what looks like a large handgun or rifle. After getting the cash, the suspect ran into a parking lot behind the Hastings Funeral Home near the Metro-North train station. Cops say the suspect lost some of the money during his escape.
