4 injured after car plows into grocery store

Four people were injured Saturday after an elderly woman drove her car into a ShopRite supermarket in Garnerville.

Police say that the woman confused the gas pedal for the brake, sending the car into the store.

Three people were trapped under the car and were taken to the hospital for treatment along with the driver.

Officials have not released the condition of those injured but say the car has been impounded pending an investigation.

For now the grocery store remains open pending repairs.
