Cops: Yonkers man arrested in attempted Rye Brook home invasion

Police say they have arrested a 28-year-old Yonkers man in connection with an attempted Rye Brook home invasion last Thursday night.

The owner of the Westview Avenue home says he confronted the burglar at around 10 p.m. and smashed a bottle on his head, resulting in a large cut. He says the suspect fled minutes before police arrived on the scene.

Cops say the suspect was picked up at White Plains Hospital after being treated for the cut.

The suspect is facing robbery and burglary charges.
