Gov. Paterson issues 24 pardons

Gov. David Paterson (D-N.Y.) pardoned 24 people on Friday morning who had been convicted of crimes after being arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customers Enforcement (ICE)."They have paid their debt to society, there've been no further infractions since their crimes," Paterson said, speaking in New York City. A governor can pardon criminals who have shown a high level of constructive behavior since their convictions.
