White Plains preparing for New Year's Eve celebrations

With only days to go before New Year's Eve, preparations are being made in downtown White Plains for a huge party to ring in 2011.

This year's celebration will be "bigger and better than last year," according to Mayor Adam Bradley (D-White Plains).

White Plains Parks Department Commissioner Al Maroni says that his crews are hard at work clearing the snow in time for the event.

Event organizers say they are expecting 10,000-15,000 people at the event.

News 12 will cover the event, including the ball drop, live starting Friday night.
