Anthony Amiano, 20, wins Valhalla school board election
A 20-year-old man is the youngest member to be elected to Valhalla's school board.
Anthony Amiano graduated from Valhalla High School in 2011. He beat incumbent Alan Higgs with 602 votes to 241.
Amiano says he traded in sports and school activities at an early age. He joined the campaign for County Executive Rob Astorino when he was 10. Astorino was then running for the Westchester County Legislature.
Amiano is currently a legislative aide for his district.
When he's not running a campaign, Amiano studies communications, public relations and government at Manhattan College.
Amiano will formally be sworn in this July.
