Police: Young girl attacked by 2 pit bulls in New City on Friday

Police in New City are investigating after they say two pit bulls attacked an 8-year-old girl on Friday.

Investigators say the attack happened around 6:45 p.m. on West Clarkstown Road.

The girl suffered bites to her legs, thighs, arms, head and neck and was taken to the Nyack Hospital for treatment, according to police.

Animal control officials are also investigating the incident and have ordered the pit bulls confined pending a rabies test.
