HV airport takes precautions after bin Laden's death

Officials at one Hudson Valley airport say that law enforcement patrols are being stepped up in the wake of news of Osama bin Laden's death, but not because of any particular threat.

Port Authority officials say their decision to increase security at Stewart Airport in Orange County is not based on any reports of a current or impending threat, but as more of a precaution until more information on national security is received.

Travelers like Helen Stratton say they absolutely agree with the increased preventative measures. "The situation calls for increased security. If they're going to do something, they're going to try right away," Stratton said.Osama bin Laden killed during U.S. operation in Pakistan
