Obama: 'Getting our man' outweighed risks of raid

(AP) - President Barack Obama says he knew thatsending special forces in helicopters to get Osama bin Laden at hisPakistan compound was risky, it was the best way to make sure theyhad their man.Obama says in an interview aired Sunday on CBS' "60 Minutes"that he thought it was very important to be able to say they"definitely got the guy."

The president says that even with months of intelligence work, the odds bin Laden was in the compound were only about 55-45. ButObama says he had such confidence in the special forces that hedecided that the risks were outweighed by the benefits.
