Officials call for resignation of Astorino's chief of staff

Some county lawmakers are calling for the resignation of County Executive Rob Astorino's (R-Westchester) chief of staff over a sexually offensive email.

George Oros is accused of sending the email to Legislator Judith Myers during a budget committee meeting yesterday afternoon. Myers was discussing the possible closing of several mental health facilities when the email was sent.

In the message, obtained exclusively by News 12 Westchester, Oros writes, "Judy sounds so breathless." Some lawmakers, including Democratic Majority Leader Peter Harckham and County Board Chairman Ken Jenkins, believe Oros should be fired.

According to Astorino, Oros has a clean record and that people send out things they sometimes regret. He says Oros has apologized and that they're moving on.
