Cops: WC father's body found decomposing after close to 8 years

Yonkers police say that the badly decomposed body of a Yonkers man was discovered in the home he shared with his daughter, and that it may have been there for as long as eight years.

The body of Roy Swenson was found inside 67 Alexander Ave. after Swenson's daughter, Christina, told an employee at an upstate mental facility of her father's whereabouts. Police say it's possible that Swenson, who was known in her community as a recluse, had simply wrapped her father's body in a sheet after he died, possibly as long as eight years ago.

Investigators say that the Swenson's home was filled with dead rats and piles of garbage, and that it could take some time before they are able to determine a cause of death.

Yonkers police have not filed any charges against Swenson at this time.
