Bronx River Pkwy. finally open after overnight deluge

The southbound lanes of the Bronx River Parkway have reopened after being closed from White Plains to Yonkers following yesterday's heavy rains. The Saw Mill River Parkway shut down Wednesday night, only to reopen just before 7 a.m. Thursday, and both sides of the Bronx River Parkway have also reopened after being completely shut down last night until this morning's commute.

Highway 218 in Cornwall is also closed between Cornwall and West Point due to reported weather-related slide hazards.
