Man indicted for alleged torture at WCC

Officials say a phony teacher accused of luring African-American students to Westchester Community College and then torturing them was indicted today.

Authorities say Larry Bottone was indicted on 29 different counts for using the classrooms in Valhalla to abuse several young men. They say he promised the boys high-paying jobs in international espionage and told them they had to endure his painful training to qualify.

Earlier this year, Bottone turned down a plea deal that would have sent him to prison for up to seven years. He now faces five to 25 years if convicted at trial.
