Hundreds of cadets graduate from West Point

After four years of rigorous education at the nation's most prestigious military academy, hundreds of cadets celebrated their graduation from West Point today.

Friends and family cheered as the 1,031 cadets of the Class of 2011 marched into Mitchie Stadium to receive their diplomas.

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen gave the commencement address. He urged the graduates to be not only good soldiers, but good citizens, too.

In her first visit to the academy, first lady Michelle Obama spoke to cadets about the importance of family at a graduation banquet last night. Michelle Obama addresses West Point's Class of 2011
