Police seek 3 suspects in Yonkers home invasion

Police say they are looking for three men who broke into a Yonkers home and assaulted two occupants, including an elderly grandmother.

Investigators say the men knocked on the door of a first-floor apartment at 153 Stanley Ave. this morning.

Lenecis Barrios, who lives in the apartment, says when her grandmother opened the door, the men shoved the elderly woman and punched her in the face.

Barrios says one of the men had a gun. She says they forced their way into the home and assaulted her 26-year-old male cousin.

"He's a good man," Barrios says of her cousin. She says she doesn't know why he would be targeted. "He's a good, hardworking guy."

Police say a home invasion was reported at nearby 135 Stanley Ave. on Saturday. They say the three men that entered that home may have realized they were at the wrong house and took off.
